  13. OK OK so I should know this I suppose. But I don't so here goes.  We have
  14. a couple of
  15. DEC Alpha boxes here running OSF (Unix) that act as servers for a number
  16. of our courses. 
  17. Now I have ICON loaded on one of them and all seems well with it. I've
  18. used it in a number of courses including Graphics and have not run into
  19. any problems yet. Anyway, here's my question. Some students would like to
  20. move executables over to the Campus system (the larger Alpha server which
  21. does not have ICON installed).  So how do they get a true executable? 
  22. Now I thought that  the save() function would do the trick but when I
  23. compile it responds as if it has no clue what save(s) is  (the usual 
  24. &null("filename") msg).  Is there a reason that this function is not
  25. found - did I fail to load something someplace?  I'm working on getting
  26. them to load ICON on the campus machine but it would be nice to just be
  27. able to port an executable over and let students show off some of their
  28. work. Thanks.
